Substation Technician

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Substation Technician to join our team. As a key member of our construction, repair, and engineering services team, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment and systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair substation equipment and systems, including high-voltage transformers, circuit breakers, and switchgear.
- Work safely in confined spaces and at heights up to 125 feet above ground.
- Operate a variety of heavy equipment, including bucket trucks, backhoes, and excavators.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Develop and interpret material lists, and trace out phasing in substations.
- Coach subordinates on the crew and provide guidance on technical situations.
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 pounds and work in confined spaces.
- Knowledge of construction standard practices, techniques, quality requirements, and applicable codes and standards.
- Ability to work independently or with others, and to travel up to 90% of the time.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
