Cybersecurity Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cybersecurity Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Cyber Mission Sector, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and integrity of our information systems.

Responsibilities:

Ensure compliance with National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM) policies and procedures.
Conduct technical reviews and system audits to maintain oversight and compliance of existing information systems.
Interface with program management and customers to implement security requirements, documentations, and classification management.
Provide information systems security guidance, awareness, and training, and participate in customer security inspections and reviews.
Manage, develop, prepare, implement, and maintain security plans, standard operating procedures (SOPs), security tests, and evaluation plans.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 3+ years of relevant experience, Associate's degree with an minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or 9 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
Demonstrated ability to be self-motivated, self-supervisory, and results-oriented.
Demonstrated organizational skills and strong verbal/written communication skills.
Ability to obtain/maintain Security+ certification within 6 weeks of hire date.
Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC).
U.S. citizenship required.
Ability to obtain a DoD level Secret security clearance.

Preferred:
General experience with DoD networks.
Current Security+ certification.
Current CISM, CIPA, CISSP professional certification.
Active DoD level Secret security clearance.
