Key Responsibilities- Coordinate total nursing care for patients, ensuring their needs are met and their rights are protected.
- Participate in patient and family teaching, promoting health education and empowerment.
- Provide leadership and work collaboratively with ancillary nursing and patient team personnel to maintain high standards of professional nursing practice.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including the ANA Code for Nurses, the ANA Nursing's Social Policy Statement, and regulatory agency standards.
- Graduate of an approved registered nursing program.
- Current Michigan Registered Nurse license.
- BLS Certification.
- ALS Certification within three months of hire or transfer.
- PALS Certification within six months of hire or transfer.
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Curriculum) within one year of hire or transfer.
- Six months ER and/or ICU experience within the last two years and/or meet internal posting criteria.
- One year hospital practice as a registered nurse.
