Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and organized Banquet Cook to join our team at Normandy Farm Hotel & Conference Center. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food for our guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, including salads, cheese displays, and cold hors d'oeuvres, to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and management, while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
  • Follow standard recipes and procedures for food preparation, while adapting to changing menu requirements and special requests.
  • Serve food in accordance with established portion sizes and presentation standards, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Properly store all food products in designated areas, ensuring optimal freshness and quality.
  • Report any problems or concerns to management, while maintaining a high standard of conduct and professionalism.
  • Consistently use safe and sanitary food handling practices, adhering to all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Possess a basic knowledge of excellent service standards, food and beverage preparations, and etiquette.
  • Available to work weekends, evening shifts, and major holidays.
  • Mandatory compliance with all safety regulations, procedures, policies, and rules.
  • Regular and predictable attendance.
  • Arrives punctually in full uniform with a neat and professional appearance at all times.
  • Frequently wash hands for proper food handling.
  • Requires standing for extended periods, walking, pushing, carrying, bending, reaching, stooping, kneeling, or crouching.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds without assistance and in excess of 50 pounds with assistance.
