Job Summary:
Sutter Health is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team as a Patient Care Specialist. In this role, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our patients and families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist providers with patient care tasks, including greeting and identifying patients, escorting patients to exam rooms, and preparing patients for office visits.
- Take vital signs, perform minor medical procedures, and other tasks associated with patient care.
- Deliver care within the scope of the California Nurse Practice Act and Sutter Health's nursing guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current LVN licensure in California.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to lift and position patients.
- Visual capabilities to observe patients.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pediatrics experience.
- Bilingual, Spanish speaking.
Work Environment:
This is a per diem/casual position, working variable hours, including days, weekends, and holidays. The pay range for this role is $38.93 to $52.26 per hour.
