Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our Inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. You will work closely with our nursing team to provide comprehensive care to patients, utilizing evidence-based standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the total nursing care for patients, including vital sign monitoring, medication administration, and documentation.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two years of experience in a behavioral health setting or enrolled in an associate's or bachelor's program, preferably in nursing.
  • Healthcare Provider (CPR) certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Comprehensive Crisis Management certification within 6 months of start date in department/position.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements of the position.
