Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant/Scope Washer GI Lab to join our team at Froedtert South. As a key member of our GI Lab team, you will be responsible for performing nursing assistant duties, decontaminating and disinfecting scopes, and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform decontamination of contaminated patient care equipment and procedural instrumentation
  • Document quality assurance monitoring of the department decontamination and sterilization process
  • Collect and process soiled reusable medical and surgical equipment
  • Maintain supplies and inventories utilized in high-level disinfection
  • Assist in staff development and training of newly hired Scope Washers
  • Perform tasks for patients' Activities of Daily Living (ADL) to promote patient comfort and safety
  • Assist RN with collection of patient data, such as vital signs, patient weights, intake and output, blood glucose/urine multi-stix, and pulse oximetry
Requirements
  • High School or Equivalent (GED)
  • Entry Level Nursing Assistant experience
  • Nursing Assistant Certification (for employees hired after December 1, 2019)
  • Current BLS and/or CPR certification from the American Red Cross or the ability to obtain certification within 6 weeks of hire
