Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Host/Maitre D' to join our team at Charter Senior Living, a leading provider of senior living services. The ideal candidate will have a passion for Japanese cuisine and culture, as well as a strong background in hospitality and customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and ensure they receive a warm welcome upon arrival, setting the tone for an exceptional dining experience.
• Manage the reservation system and ensure all bookings are handled efficiently and accurately, minimizing wait times and maximizing guest satisfaction.
• Oversee the seating process and ensure guests are seated promptly and in accordance with their preferences, creating a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere.
• Monitor the dining room and ensure guests are receiving exceptional service throughout their meal, addressing any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
• Work closely with the kitchen and waitstaff to ensure smooth coordination of food and beverage service, ensuring that every guest receives their meal in a timely and efficient manner.
• Handle any guest concerns or complaints with professionalism and grace, resolving issues in a fair and timely manner.
• Train and mentor junior hosts/hostesses on best practices for guest service and hospitality, ensuring that our team is equipped to provide exceptional service to every guest.

Requirements:

• 3 years of experience in a high-end hospitality environment, preferably in a fine dining restaurant.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with guests, staff, and management.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
• A passion for Japanese cuisine and culture is strongly preferred, with a deep understanding of the culinary and cultural nuances of Japanese dining.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Ability to lead a team and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure that every guest receives exceptional service.
