We are looking for self-motivated hands-on Big Data Engineer- Spark/Scala Developer for state street's AML program. Candidate will closely work with Technical and business teams based in Boston in an agile fashion to develop Technical solution for AML Transaction Monitoring and other compliance Program.
What you will be responsible for
As Application Developer you will
- Be responsible for the application development using Scala, Spark, Python and other programing languages.
- Lead the efforts for Vendor product implementation and customization.
- Assume the ownership from development to Production rollout.
- Working in multi-location agile environment in the alignment with business and technology teams.
- Following application Development, Data engineering, Performance and security standards.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or engineering
- Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience with application development using Spark, Scala or Python.
- Development experience of enterprise data driven applications, ETL and data orchestration .
- Hands-on with advanced Bigdata technologies like Hadoop, Spark, Scala, Hive, SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience with Public cloud technologies such as AWS, Databricks is big plus
- Ability to quickly learn and implement new technologies.
- Moderate experience on unix, shell scripting.
- Knowledge of ETL Tools, CI/CD, Github, Elasticsearch is plus.
- Knowledge of Finance, Custody services, data privacy, AML and related compliance domain is plus.
Additional requirements
This role may require occasional L4 production support and weekend release support.

Salary Range:
$75,000 - $120,000 Annual
The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
