This is an opportunity to join a dynamic investment firm as an Associate on the Portfolio Monitoring team in New York City. The role focuses on leveraging data-driven insights and portfolio analysis to support investment decision-making, portfolio management, and client reporting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Database Management: Build and maintain databases using iLevel, S&P Capital's portfolio management software, to calculate, analyze, and synthesize fund-level analytics and performance metrics.
  • Investor Material Support: Provide portfolio- and position-level analytics for investor presentations and reports.
  • Portfolio Monitoring: Analyze and track the performance of 60+ portfolio companies, contributing to quarterly valuations and sharing findings with the Investment team.
  • Investment Insights: Provide analysis to support investment decisions, including sector studies, correlation analysis, and liquidity forecasting.
  • Benchmarking: Research and compare performance against industry peers and aggregated data.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Passion for Business: A curiosity about what drives company performance and valuation.
  • Analytical Expertise: Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize and present complex data-sets in a clear and accurate manner.
  • Excellent Communicator: Capable of distilling complex information into concise recommendations and sharing insights effectively.
  • Team-Oriented: A collaborative, low-ego team player who embraces all aspects of the role with enthusiasm.
  • Experience: 2-5 years in valuation, accounting, investor relations, or portfolio monitoring.
