The Role: Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative "Delphi Senior Software Developer" to serve our diverse base of global clients. Location: Atlanta, GA – USA (Hybrid) Job Description: Technical design and implementation of production ready code, partnering closely with rest of team (Engineers, QA, Solution Manager). Troubleshoot, resolve and research production issues as well as work with development to make enhancements and fix bugs. Work closely within the team to define feature priorities, deliveries, and product schedules. Help Integrate POS with payment hardware and configuration. Stay up to date with new technologies and industry trends. Participate in requirements gathering and documentation. Lead the non-functional aspects of the solution which includes security and performance. Dedicated to the agile mindset and work in a fast-paced scrum environment. Consistently deliver quality shippable software to our customers, being part of our Agile development team. Produce technical documentation as needed. Help foster a culture of knowledge building across the team. Key Responsibilities/Experience/Technical skills: 8+ years of experience in an object-oriented language. Strong experience in Delphi and Delphi XE7. Experience in Microsoft SQL Server operations/usage. Management would be a plus. Significant experience working in a large software product throughout its lifecycle -- from conception into release and into support. Clear understanding core object-oriented development principles. Demonstrated troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills. Experience with source control tools (TFS, GitHub, SVN, etc.) Ability to train / mentor others -- through code reviews, ad-hoc presentations, or more formal procedures. Familiarity with standard Windows operations, including software installation, basic device setup, basic troubleshooting. Good understanding of Agile Methodologies and SCRUM. Preferred Experience: Win32 development experience. Crystal Reports experience. Experience in credit-card / payments development / issues. Web Services/API development. Experience with virtual machines. Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
