Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.Seneca Foods is seeking a Credit Analyst. The successful candidate would be responsible for analyzing credit data including financials, ratios, trade news, references and making credit recommendations. This position entails keeping accounts current, making collection calls, and working closely with Sales and the Director of Credit. Reviewing and releasing orders from credit hold following internal controls is required. The candidate will work closely with Cash Application to obtain remittances and keep the accounts reconciled and clean. Position Summary:
Analyze the credit worthiness of new and existing customers and make recommendations on credit limits and terms in accordance with Seneca policy. Keep up to date with the collection targets and problem accounts. Work with the team to achieve a low DSO and a high percent current for our objectives. Monitor orders on credit hold and decide to release or review with management. Backup timely and accurate billing to the USDA while working with Janesville teams closely. Respond to credit inquiries from other manufacturers. Back-up the AR Supervisor on journal entries and some reporting.
Build relationships with Sales, Customer Service, and Customers. Assist Cash Application in obtaining payment details when not provided. Work closely with the Sales team on new customer applications to obtain necessary information. Support the team in special projects and audits. Assist in the back-up of the Customer Master file.
Qualifications:
Computer literate knowledge of SAP and the AS/400 is helpful. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational and telephone skills. Detail oriented. High School diploma or equivalent combination of education and at least 2 years of experience. AA degree is helpful. 3-5 years of business-to-business experience preferred.
This is an on-site position only.
Wage range based on skills, abilities, and experience from $18.40 to $27.60 per hour.
