You will be required to push the boundaries of what is possible with the latest technologies and materials developed at GE Aerospace. This role is a part of the Compression Systems and Structures team.This position has the flexibility of optional hybrid schedule once fully trained. The hybrid schedule consists of working in the office minimum of 3 days per week and the option to work from home on the other days, based on team/project schedules.Job DescriptionROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with minimal supervision on the design and analysis of complex engine structures, applying sound engineering principles and following business standards, practices, procedures, and program requirementsShare technical guidance and a subject matter expert that supports the achievement of other people working on complex tasks; coach others in the organization.Ensure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned hardwareCreate action plans, with support, to address issues/ problemsProvide strategy to fulfill the technical and program requirementsContribute as a presenter or reviewer in technical and program reviews with internal and external customersQUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTSBachelor of Science in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited university or college.At least 5 additional years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering position.Experience with design and analysis of complex mechanical componentsDESIRED CHARACTERISTICSPassion for the aviation industry and advancing the state-of-the-artGood communication and teamwork skills across different settingsCommitment to fostering a diverse and respectful cultureSkills to guide others and coordinate small groupsAbility to identify and solve problems efficientlyFamiliarity with the development and product design processProficiency in CAD and CAE tools for design and analysis8 or more years of experience in a Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering positionAt GE Aerospace, we have a relentless dedication to the future of safe and more sustainable flight and believe in our talented people to make it happen.
