The clinic assistant also assists in basic medical care for the comfort and well-being of the employees.Core ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of a licensed medical professional, provides basic first aid activities per protocol.Under the direction of a licensed medical professional, provides conservative care modalities per protocol.Performs Urinalysis and Breath Alcohol tests per company protocols.Performs audiometric testing per OSHA and CAOHC guidelines.Cleans and maintains treatment area.Assists with medical office operations as needed such as supply handling, answering phone, entering data and test results into electronic medical record. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. High School Diploma or GED, required.Current certification in First Aid, CPR and AED.Blood Borne Pathogen trained.History of medical office experience, preferred.Good decision maker and ability to perform in stressful situations.Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.Work Environment & Physical Demands The work environment characteristics and physical demands described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.Frequently required to sit, stand, kneel, squat, bend, twist, use hands to handle, or feel, and talk or hear.The majority of the time is spent in an office setting outside of the production plant. Must be able to work around blood, strong smells and extreme temperatures.
