Akron General's 7100 Unit is a high acuity cardiac telemetry and med/surg unit. This fast-paced unit cares for patients who require extensive ADL assistance, high risk fall patients, and patients with pneumonia, FTT, weakness, confusion, sepsis, PEG care, central lines, multiple antibiotic therapies, blood transfusions, IV push/cardiac drip titration medications and tracheostomies. As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide nursing care in accordance with the Standards of Safe Nursing Practice/Ohio Administrative Code and Understanding Scopes of Practice/Ohio Board of Nursing and ANA Scope and Standards of Care. You will also be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care for a given patient population within the established standards and practices of Akron General. The full-time caregiver in this role will work the night shift from 7:00pm - 7:30am.

Responsibilities:
- ASSESSMENTS: Completes ongoing assessments.

- LEADERSHIP/PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Delegates tasks/assignments to employees according to their ability and within the scope of their job descriptions and according to the Delegation by Licensed Nurses, Ohio Administrative Code.

Education:
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
Certifications:
- Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Ohio.
- BLS required

- Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
