A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring an Engineering Technician.
Position Type: Full time Contract, Temp to Perm
Duration: 06 Months
Location: Alpharetta, GA 30004 (Onsite)
As an Engineering Technician, you will:
Oversee the calibration schedule for all measuring and test equipment to ensure calibrations are performed on time and in compliance with industry standards and company procedures. Maintain accurate calibration records and a database of all instruments and equipment, including history, calibration status, and future calibration needs.
Coordinate with external calibration service providers for outsourced calibrations, including shipping, receiving, and reviewing completed work for compliance.
Issue calibration certificates and labels and ensure they are properly affixed to calibrated equip Identify and segregate out-of-calibration or out-of-tolerance equipment and tools and coordinate corrective actions, as necessary.
Work with internal teams to minimize impact on production schedules during calibration activities. Provide training and support to staff on proper use and care of measuring and test equipment to maintain calibration integrity.
Develop and implement calibration procedures and processes to improve efficiency and compliance conduct internal audits of the calibration program to ensure adherence to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Manage and maintain calibration standards and reference materials.
Provide reports and metrics on calibration activities to management.
Maintain the electronic records (Access, Sunflower, etc) associated with the existing calibration system, and ensure that this system complies with all QSR requirements.
Coordinate all nonconformance issues such as status reports, bad actors, delinquencies, and NCRs.
Qualification
High School education + 6 years hands on Calibration experience or technical experience and demonstrated competence.
Preferably a minimum of 1 years’ experience in aerospace or automotive industry.
Knowledge of calibration systems and processes is desirable.
Familiarity with AS and ISO requirements.
Must be able to operate a standard personal computer Good interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Demonstrated experience working with cross functional groups/teams.
Demonstrated ability to manage activities to meet pre-determined deadlines.
Proven ability to work independently while keeping management well informed of activities.
Proficient in the use of various software applications (such as Word, Excel, Project, Access), statistical tools (such as JMP). Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
May require lifting or moving of equipment up to a certain weight.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Certification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ) as a Calibration Technician (CCT) or similar is preferred

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $30-$35 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
