Seneca also provides vegetable products to other companies under various co-pack arrangements.Job Summary: We are seeking a reliable and diligent Seasonal Janitor to maintain the cleanliness and sanitation of our facilities. The role involves cleaning a variety of areas including floors, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse spaces. The ideal candidate will be skilled in operating cleaning equipment, capable of performing physical tasks, and committed to ensuring a hygienic environment. Key Responsibilities:
Sanitation and Cleaning:
Clean and sanitize floors, restrooms, breakrooms, offices, and warehouse areas. Empty trash receptacles and recycling bins. Continuously clean around machines and conveyors. Scrub frameworks and non-food surfaces. Perform general housekeeping duties to keep the facility organized and clean.
Equipment Operation:
Operate vacuum cleaners, automatic floor scrubbers, and other hand equipment effectively and safely.
Record Keeping and Inventory:
Maintain accurate sanitation records. Monitor and manage inventory of cleaning supplies and paper products.
Additional Duties:
Perform other janitorial and maintenance tasks as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, sit, talk, twist, hear, walk, stand, climb, stoop, kneel, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs. Constant walking and standing on concrete floors.
Working Conditions:
Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts. Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, outside weather conditions, extreme heat, and risk of electrical shock. Frequent exposure to loud noise and some outdoor weather conditions.
Safety Requirements:
Adhere to all safety equipment requirements, including bump hats, ear and eye protection, hairnets, and other safety gear as needed.
Qualifications:
Experience: Previous janitorial or custodial experience preferred but not required. Skills: Ability to operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning chemicals properly. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on cleanliness and sanitation. Flexibility: Willingness to work various shifts and adapt to changing priorities.
