In addition to providing care to these patients you will offer support to the parents, with a focus on emotional encouragement and education. Our team works hard to support each other we are looking for an amazing nurse who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. In this role: · You will be able to perform general nursing duties in a medical/surgical observation unit for pediatric patients. · You will be able to evaluate and document each patient’s response to interventions and respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition. · You will learn to identify and addresses psychosocial needs of patients and families; communicate with social service/discharge planner regarding both in hospital and post discharge needs. · You will work closely with department leadership and physicians to coordinate treatment plans and examinations. · You will educate parents on day-to-day operations/goals, treatment plans and at home care procedures. · You will act in a composed and professional manner, especially under pressure.
