ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANTCaribbean Food Delights (CFD), a privately owned & operated company, is the leading manufacturer of Jamaican Style Patties: beef, chicken and vegetable. This state-of-the-art facility is SQF certified. We are looking for/seeking a motivated, results-driven, Accounts Payable Assistant to join our team. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Process invoices daily, carefully reviewing all pertinent information (purchase orders, receipts, reports, packing slips, etc.) to verify information, prior to the issue of payment.Research and communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues and vendor inquiries, when necessary.Process weekly checks for CFD and RCB.Process monthly commissions for CFD Brokers, making applicable deductions.Prepare check runs on Thursdays of each week, for Controller’s approval for CFD and RCB.Close accounts payable by the 15th of each month (for the previous month), alerting the Controller of any regular expense bills not yet received.Assist in A/R collections, research deductions and file claims.Reconcile inter-company accounts, monthly.Process daily cash deposits; record and maintain cash deposit information.Review credit card bills from American Express, Citi-Bank, Bank of America  and any other credit card vendors, to ensure that bills match charges and vise versa; make necessary and timely payments.Process check requests and issue checks for Vincent HoSang Foundation, as necessary.Handle monthly bank reconciliation for Vincent HoSang Foundation.Review accounts payable mail, sort and handle accordingly; correspond with vendors.Maintain relevant accounting files and records, consistently.Perform any other related duties for Caribbean Food Delights and the related companies as assigned and unilaterally determined by Caribbean Food Delights. QUALIFICATIONS:Associate Degree in Accounting or equivalentWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Quickbooks, Sage, MAS90 or equivalentMinimum three (3) years related work experienceStrong math, analytical and data entry skillsAbility to operate standard office equipment – computer, facsimile machine, photocopier, calculator, multi-line telephone system, etc. Pay range  $31.00 p/h - $33.00 p/h + benefits.
