AdventHealth Medical Group Cardiology - Winter Park
Nurse Practitioner, ARNP or Physician Assistant, PA-C
Full Time Position
General Summary:
The APRN or PA-C, under the supervision of the Physician(s), who acts as the collaborative practitioner, is responsible for:
- Performs physical examinations as needed and monitors cardiology & interventional cardiology patients in the clinic and hospital setting in Winter Park: new patient visits, pre-& post-procedure care, follow up
- See patients independently and support hospital call
- Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests, such as routine laboratory, X-ray, etc
- Monitors the patients course of treatment and makes appropriate referral to either a physician or specialist, as needed
- Collaborates with physician and staff as necessary to provide consistent care to patients and support to staff
- Displays a caring and professional attitude at all time as well as maintaining personal and professional growth
- Candidate must be able to pass a third-party background check and pre-employment drug screen
Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, patients, parents and hospital medical staff
- Enthusiastic team player

- Strong communication skills
Schedule Details:
- Schedule: 40 hours per week; Saturday and Sundays as well as 2-3 weekdays
- Campus: AH Winter Park
Required Education/Experience:
- Masters degree in Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant studies
- 2-3 years experience in inpatient cardiology
Licensure, Certification, and Registration:
- Current, valid Florida APRN or PA license or ability to obtain
- ANCC, AANP or NCCPA certification required.
- Current BLS and ACLS
AdventHealth Winter Park, a part of AdventHealth Orlando, was chartered in 1951. The hospital has grown from the visionary efforts of a handful of Winter Park residents and community leaders to a 382-bed acute care facility that is a model of community health and wellness. Over the years the hospital has continually expanded to meet the needs of the community, adding an upscale obstetrics and Level II Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at The Dr. P. Phillips Baby Place, AdventHealth Winter Parks Outpatient Center and Women's Services, cancer care at AdventHealths Cancer Institute, Winter Park, and state-of-the-art surgery, recovery and rehabilitation at the AdventHealth Orthopaedic Institute.
