Position Overview: Our client, a reputable and dynamic civil engineering and surveying firm, is seeking a Professional Land Surveyor to join their team. This role offers the opportunity to lead and manage surveying projects that support diverse engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee land surveying projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS surveys, and construction staking.


  • Manage survey crews and provide guidance on best practices to ensure accuracy and efficiency in the field.


  • Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and clients to develop and execute survey plans that meet project requirements and timelines.


  • Perform calculations and analyze survey data to prepare detailed reports and drawings.


  • Utilize advanced surveying equipment and software to collect and process data, including GPS, total stations, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.


  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations and standards.


Qualifications:

  • Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure required.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Land Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.


  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in land surveying, with proven expertise in boundary, topographic, and construction surveys.


  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other survey software; experience with GPS and total station equipment.


  • Strong leadership and team management skills.


  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.


  • Effective communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
