ABOUT THIS TEAM
To be the creative champion of Unparalleled Feel innovation for lululemon footwear. To collaborate on the Unparalleled Feel footwear innovation team, to research, ideate, fabricate, and communicate new footwear technology solutions (digitally and physically) - while aligning to the organization's processes. To build Unparalleled Feel innovation design solution presentations and communication tools to ensure successful mainline business adoption.
DAY IN THE LIFE
- Support and execute the global lululemon footwear innovation Unparalleled Feel strategy, clearly identifying key design opportunities that directly link to enterprise and business goals.
- Utilize knowledge of footwear design, human performance, craft materials and manufacturing to ideate innovative Unparalleled Feel footwear products, components and tools.
- Ability to adhere to footwear innovation owned go-to-market deadlines, such as innovation review, category kick-off, mainline design review, etc.
- Ability to articulate important project updates and complex information to appropriate stakeholders.
- Ensure that cross functional partners, such as product development, design, sourcing, merchandising, wear testing have the most up to date information on each project and collaborations are effective.
- Own adherence to performance expectations such as creating sketches, detailed tech packs, prototypes, CAD files, and presentations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 8-10 years sports industry experience designing footwear with a focus on athletic performance and perception.
- Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovates to achieve great results.
- Ability to research, understand and develop new technologies inspired from related and tangential fields.
- Ability to collaborate honestly and kindly with teammates to sketch, fabricate and communicate new ideas to an audience with a wide range of expertise.
- College degree (BS, BA, BFA, MS, MA, MDes, MFA or PhD) or equivalent in a design related field (apparel, textiles, footwear, industrial, product).
- Must be able to work digitally (Adobe Suite, 3D CAD, MS Suite) and analogously (sewing, hand modeling)

compensation and benefits package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $118,400 -$155,400 USD annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
