Sanitation Manager

Introduction:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Sanitation Manager to join our team. This role is crucial for ensuring our 2 facilities in AR meet the highest standards of cleanliness and compliance with all food safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and
implement sanitation policies and procedures to ensure compliance with
GFSI, state and federal Food Safety regulations.
Manage the
daily operations of the sanitation departments at both locations,
including resource allotment, training and supervising the sanitation
staff with 2 direct reports with 45 or more sanitors.
Conduct
regular monitoring and trending inspections/ audits to ensure the facility
meets the sanitary standards required for food manufacturing.
Coordinate
with Quality Assurance, Production and Maintenance departments to schedule
cleanings and minimize downtime.
Train and
certify team members on proper sanitation techniques and the use of
chemicals safely.
Monitor the
use and inventories of cleaning chemicals and supplies, ensuring efficient
use and reordering as necessary.
Stay current
with advancements in sanitation practices and technologies and apply best
practices.
Prepare
reports and documentation required for regulatory compliance and internal
standards. Qualifications:
Minimum of 4
years of experience in an industrial food sanitation role, with at least 2
years in a managerial position.
Strong
knowledge of GFSI, HACCP, FDA and/or USDA regulations.
Experience
in BRC or SPF audits
Excellent
organizational and leadership skills.
Ability to
train and motivate a diverse team.
Strong
problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Proficient
in MS Office and industry-related software.
