Registered Nurse (RN) - LDRP

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our family-centered maternity unit, which is committed to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. This role involves delivering high-quality antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care while promoting patient safety, education, and positive birth experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Provide exceptional nursing care for patients during the antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn phases.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including nurses, physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff.
Support the physical, emotional, and educational needs of families.
Float to Labor & Delivery and Neonatal Intensive Care Unit as needed.

Work Schedule

Availability for at least 1-2 weekends per month.
No holiday shifts required.

Unit Information

Nurse to patient ratio: 1:3 (may vary based on circumstances).
Total unit size: 32 beds.
Serves a diverse urban population across various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.

Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required.
Experience in postpartum care, baby care, and antepartum monitoring is essential.
Current BLS and NRP certifications required.
Fetal monitoring experience is necessary (certificate not required).
