We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.SummaryThe Procurement Category Manager will focus on Category planning, sourcing activities, and establishing a long-term (1-3 year) strategic category plan for MRO initiatives across Simplot's global Food Group manufacturing locations. He or She will be expected to maintain a continuous portfolio pipeline to instill procurement processes across the assigned category landscape, and drive value across the enterprise for the assigned projects. This strategy development work is done in partnership with various business unit stakeholders across all global Food Group manufacturing facilities. Category strategies include spend analysis/mapping, external market analysis, "should cost" analysis, vendor and supply management, and inventory optimization. He or She will also lead sourcing projects based on the category strategy and on-demand projects from the respective stakeholders.Key Responsibilities Develops category plan and project portfolio for moderately sized MRO projectswith mid to high-level critically and complexity.Builds strong stakeholder relationships to prioritize and deliver on portfolio projects.Manages strategic vendor relationships and performance to ensure delivery of service, quality, cost and supply commitments.Lead sourcing projects including RFI, RFP, RFQ and contract development.Typical EducationBachelor's Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or universityRelevant Experience 3+ years of experience in arelevant and related MRO categoryKnowledge/experience in a commercial/procurement role3+ years of experience Category Management and Sourcing activitiesKnowledge working in business or functional unit supported by the categoryGood sales, presentation, negotiation, and market/data analytic skillsMS Office SuiteProficiency, Ariba/SAP and JDE experience a plusStrong communication and relationship building"Should Cost" modelingExperience in corporate MRO programsLean / 6Sigma implementation and experienceUnderstanding of Procurement inventory controls and optimization toolsStrategic Cost ManagementOther Information Domestic and/or International Travel up to 30% as neededJob Requisition ID: 19968Travel Required: Up to 25%Location(s): Simplot Headquarters - BoiseCountry: United StatesWage range or rate of pay: (INSERT) Plus annual incentive plan eligibilityThe compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education, location, and other job-related reasons.Attractive total rewards package that includes: Medical, dental, vision coverage401(k) savings planPaid Family Building LeaveGenerous Paid Time Off - Eligible employees may accrue up to 160 hours in year 110 Paid HolidaysRelocation Assistance Program (where applicable)Education AssistanceBenefits details available at simplotbenefits.com**The J.R.
