Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider.Summary:Provides radiologic imaging to patients for the purpose of diagnoses and treatment.Responsibilities:Performs radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures using appropriate patient positioning, technique selection, contrast media, immobilization, and radiation protection. Evaluates finished images for technical quality. Confirms physician orders. Consults with Radiologists as necessary. Identifies patient, introduces self and explains procedure to be performed.Maintains inventory of supplies in work areas. Perform clerical procedures as needed. Transports patients as necessary. Orients staff as appropriate.Functions as contact person for the facility Radiation Safety Program. Performs Radiation Safety Program safety monitoring and device tracking.Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
