Unit Description: Are you a Registered Dietitian ready to impact the life of patients in a large hospital? Sodexo is seeking a Registered Dietitian for New York-Presbyterian Queens Hospital to provide inpatient nutrition care in a 22-bed level III NICU as well as the inpatient pediatrics floor. NYP-Queens is a 535 bed, Level 1 Trauma center in the heart of Queens, NY. Reporting to the Clinical Nutrition Manager, the successful candidate will:provide exceptional nutrition care to patients in the NICU and pediatric units; be well versed in the Pediatric Nutrition Focused Physical Exam and Malnutrition Identification;attend daily NICU rounds;work every 5th weekend and rotating holidays providing hospital-wide coverage;serve as a mentor to other RDs, providing support and training on pediatric/neonatal standards of care;be knowledgeable of the Nutrition Care Process; andefficiently and effectively organize clinical nutrition and patient care responsibilities. While the budgeted range for the position is posted, Sodexo salary offers are based on a candidate's specific criteria, like experience, skills, education and training. Qualifications & Requirements: Basic Education Requirement:Master's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) For those eligible for the registration exam prior to 1/1/24:Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND) Credentials Requirement:Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire. In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hireCertification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice.
