Job Description:
We are seeking an Accounting Clerk I. This position is responsible for verifying the accuracy of financial documents and performing essential clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations within the accounting department.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Verifies Accuracy of Information: Ensure the accuracy of various financial documents, including vouchers, purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform a variety of administrative tasks, including making copies, filing documents, and maintaining filing systems.
  • Basic Accounting Knowledge: Demonstrate familiarity with basic accounting terminology and concepts.
  • Manual and Automated Filing: Use both manual and automated filing systems to organize and maintain accounting records.
Important Notes:
  • Exclusions: This role does not include auditing accounts to identify or correct past errors or omissions, nor does it involve preparing final financial statements or participating in audit functions, such as reporting year-end totals to the IRS, unemployment compensation, or withholding.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in basic accounting concepts and terminology.
  • Familiarity with manual and automated filing systems.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to verify financial documents.
  • Excellent clerical skills, including filing, organizing, and copying documents.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $28.50- $30.50 per hour.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
