RENDERING SUPERINTENDENT    General Summary: JBS Pork is looking to add a Rendering Superintendent to the team in Louisville, Kentucky. This role will manage a team of about 30 people and be part of our senior management team. The ideal candidate will be a driven and motivated individual that thrives on supporting a busy, fast-paced team.  Responsibilities: Supervise, evaluate and direct personnel on shift in performing operations according to sound operating principles and company policies and proceduresStimulate maximum safety, efficiency and productivity of production workers; ensure proper training of employeesAnticipate and determine causes of delays in shift operations and take appropriate actions to meet production schedulesApply company employee relations and union contract policies in all dealing with employeesMonitor and confirm that machinery, equipment and facilities are properly maintained and sanitized for efficient productionArrange to have appropriate production records prepared and maintained (i.e., payroll, yields)Arrange for trucks and railroad cars to be filled with appropriate product when scheduled and complete necessary paperwork.Work closely with other production supervisors and management to promote efficiency and teamwork in each department and in plant facilityAttend meetings as scheduled or called       Other duties as assigned   Qualifications: Be able to communicate written and verbally in EnglishBe able to work all shifts as neededHeavy lifting requiredAble to work in both hot and cold temperaturesStrong communication and leadership skills ability to handle conflictSelf Motivated/ High Sense of urgencyAble to perform under High Stress situationsPrior Supervisory experience highly recommendedExtensive knowledge and technical skill of rendering facilityGood mechanical aptitudeWork 40+ hours per week in rendering facilities       Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
