We want you to applyJob Summary and QualificationsThe CT Technician works in the inpatient and/or outpatient setting performing a variety of CT Scan imaging procedures used to diagnose medical conditions. You will operate the CT scan equipment to produce quality images for detecting pathology and abnormalities in patients. You will obtain consent, prepare patients, and explain the procedure to them. The patient population may range from newborn to geriatric.You will:Provide care appropriate to condition and age of the patientDetermine most suitable anatomical posture/position and shield patients accordinglyCollaborate with physicians and other Imaging staff as neededPractice aseptic/sterile technique for all procedures Work within the CT Tech scope of practice according to policy and proceduresFollow all general infection control measures and those specific to the CT scan departmentComplete required documentation accurately immediately after completing each caseJob Qualifications Current Florida License as Certified Radiologic Technologist Current ARRT Certification Current BLS Certification issued by the American Heart Association. Satisfactory completion of a Radiologic Technologist training program in an AMA approved school. 2 year preferred. CT registered or completed within 6 months.HCA Florida Westside Hospital is a 250-bed medical center and healthcare complex. Our facility was founded in 1974.
