As a Transportation Supervisor at Foster, you'll play a critical role in overseeing daily transportation activities, ensuring efficient route coordination, and enhancing both driver and customer experiences. Ensure all processes are followed and equipment is in good working order.Manage Team Dynamics: Participate in hiring, onboarding, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and overall supervision of the transportation team.Optimize Routes and Schedules: Prepare schedules, track attendance, manage PTO, and verify time card accuracy. Review daily activities and make recommendations for future route planning.Foster Engagement: Ensure drivers are engaged, accountable, and set up for success. Conduct pre-shift meetings, dispatch drivers, and interact professionally with external customers.Travel Requirements: Some travel required to supervise remote locations and ensure adherence to company and government policies.What You'll Bring to the Table:Passion for Impact: A sincere enthusiasm for positively impacting people and making work enjoyable.Organizational Skills: Ability to plan workflows effectively and use resources efficiently.Experience: Minimum 1 year of delivery driver experience in either LTL or small package environment. Current DOT medical card required.Regulatory Knowledge: Proficient in DOT Hours of Service rules and regulations, and ELD software such as Samsara, PeopleNet, Omnitracs, etc.Technical Skills: PC skills for communication in Microsoft Office programs, MS Teams, and ADP. Experience with Produce Pro software or AS 400 platform is highly desirable.Leadership and Communication: Strong ability to lead, handle difficult situations, and communicate effectively. Ability to assess situations and deploy solutions that support driver success and customer satisfaction.Equipment Experience: Experience with powered lift equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) and fleet management according to DOT standards.
