Clean Harbors Weymouth, MA is looking for a Certified Welder to join their safety conscious team The Certified Welders are responsible for the maintenance and repair of all certified related welding for specialized assets (i.e., tank trailers and straight tank trucks which carry US DOT spec tank ratings).

Key Responsibilities: 

Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times; 
Perform all required maintenance and repairs to various types of rental equipment while working within the budget provided to you by management 
Ensure all equipment in need for repair has been approved for repair by the Shop Supervisor or Management
Fabricates components by using equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces; setting-up and measuring assemblies; selecting appropriate method.
Provide insight and offer suggestions to assist the Shop Supervisor and Management with implementation and revision of any required training documents
Train and mentor shop welders/fabricators in addition to certified welder/apprentices as required
Perform other welding/ fabrication / assembly related repairs as needed
Assist Shop Supervisor to track inventory and maintain cost controls monthly
Ensure the shop area is kept clean, tidy and free of hazards always as per office expectations, reporting all hazards and near misses as appropriate

 
 
What does it take to work for Clean Harbors?

5-7 years of experience in a shop environment and experience working as a welder on and/or around various types of equipment
Ability to work in team environment.
Proficient in the use of multi-process welding equipment (ie. GTHW, SMAW, GMAW, PAC) 
Ability to work well under with little supervision
Ability to oversee, coach and mentor welders / fabricators as needed
R Stamp certification (Preferred)
