We want your knowledge and expertiseJob Summary and QualificationsThe Medical LabScientist(MLS) conducts routine and complex laboratory tests in toxicology, chemistry, hematology, immunology, and/or microbiology for use in patient diagnosis and treatment of disease. What you will do in this role: You will perform chemical, bacteriological,serologicaland microscopic procedures in one or more laboratory sections. You will produceaccurateresults in hematology, serology, chemistry, blood bank, coagulation, urinalysis,microbiologyand other areas as designated. You willmaintainquality results by running standards and controls, calibrating equipmentutilizingapproved testing procedures, verifying equipment function through routine maintenance and monitoring quality control measures and protocols. What qualifications you will need:Bachelor’s degree in Lab Science OR grandfathered as a Med Tech by CLIA 1988. Foreigneducation must have proof of US equivalency;MT (ASCP), CLS (NCA), MLS (ASCP) or, as appropriate, BB(ASCP), C(ASCP), I (ASCP), H(ASCP), or M(ASCP) certification or equivalent required OR registry/certification eligible.Registry/certification must be obtained within 1 year of hireMinimum of 1 year experience in accredited lab setting preferredBelton Regional Medical Center is an 80+ bed acute care facility. We are located in Belton and serve southern Jackson and northern Cass counties. We are one of 10 HCA Healthcare Midwest Health System hospitals in Kansas City.
