Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Application Development Engineers are core to KLA’s technology, while we do not currently have an opening, we are always building our Application Engineers talent community, we are interested in learning about your background.

In this role, you will be responsible for:
Product Development: Characterization of next generation state-of-the art semiconductor reticle inspection products. This includes designing test plans, collecting data, performing analysis, publishing results and recommendations in the form of applications notes and best-known methods.

Customer Support:
Product value demonstration during beta testing, head-to-head (H2H) and tools in the ramp phase, thereby enabling product penetration/adoption at customer facilities.

This includes investigating semiconductor manufacturing yield issues and providing inspection solutions: Creating & sharing product value statements and use-cases with engineering, marketing and sales groups; training customers and other applications engineers.

Use-case Demos:
Conduct new tool demonstrations to showcase tool performance and develop use cases to help drive tool sales. Worldwide travel (on average 10-60%) is required to support inspection products at customer sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience or
Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years or
Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years.

BS, MS, or PhD in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Optical Science/Engineering and Physics or related studies
