JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Diagnose, troubleshoot, test, install, and repair electrical parts, equipment and systems; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed· Work on electrical equipment including but not limited to Frequency Ddrives (VFDs), contactors, overload devices, fixtures, switches, receptacles, and wiring· Safely work with multi-phase, high voltage and low voltage electrical systems· Troubleshoot and resolve control networks, instrumentation, PLC devices (Programmable Logic Control), HMI (Human Machine Interface), VFD, servo, and control problems· Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service· Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment, distribution systems, motor control centers, and motors· Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime· Maintain communication with other departments, management, and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may restrict the efficiency of production· Stay up to date on new products, equipment, technology and techniques· Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, identify opportunities to improve processes· Anticipate parts requirements for the tasks, follow proper purchasing procedures, and acquire parts ahead of anticipated task performance· Perform and assist in all operations maintenance activities, in accordance with national, state and local electrical codes· Use a computerized maintenance management system (e.g., SAP) to record and access maintenance related information· Maintain safe working conditions for employees and compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding health and safety issues· Follow all DFA good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements· The requirements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work performed by employee, but is not a complete list of responsibilities, duties, and skills required.
