Clinical Psychologist

River Academy of Excellence is a private academic school, providing services to students in grades K-8. We are committed to providing innovative, individualized, and empowering education to meet the unique needs of each and every student. The Academy is hiring a full-time Clinical Psychologist Intern to join our dedicated team of individuals. Your role would be to provide pediatric evaluations and treatment sessions for small groups and 1:1 therapy support. You will be working under our Licensed Certified Clinical Psychologist. All supervision will be provided to assist with acquiring the necessary hours for obtaining your Doctorate in Clinical Psychology 

As a member of our River Academy of Excellence team, you will work with other therapeutic staff, teachers, family members, school district personnel, and report to our administration staff.

What You Will Do:

• provide evaluations and required documentation 

• complete daily documentation

• provide treatment sessions for small groups and 1:1 therapy support 

• maintain communication with families and staff for the betterment of each student

• regular meetings with administration staff to discuss caseloads, answer questions, and promote overall employment success

• promote a safe and welcoming therapeutic environment for students and families

What You Will Bring:
Our ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

•  must be in the final phase of the Clinical Psychology Doctorate program requiring internship experience

•  must have experience with pediatric mental health counseling, behaviors, evaluations, and report writing in a clinic setting

• excellent communication skills

• professional and positive work ethic
