Our company s measurable growth is in no small part due to our team members in North Carolina, Arkansas, Illinois, and Missouri, who each have a seat at the table to contribute to our successJob Summary:The Information Technology (IT) Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) Analyst will be responsible for implementation, maintenance, and optimization of MES applications within our manufacturing facility(s). Success in the role requires a deep understanding of MES systems, manufacturing processes, and IT infrastructure. This individual must possess strong analytical skills, technical expertise, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. The IT MES Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the seamless operation and continuous improvement of the Company s Manufacturing Execution Systems.Essential Functions, Duties & Responsibilities:Oversees the maintenance of software, hardware, and various tools used on the production floor, both related and unrelated to the MES, including industrial computers, RF Scanners, tablets, and other client/control devis.Handles the procurement of all MES-related hardware and manages tech refresh and lifecycle process.Maintains documentation for the configuration and deployment of all MES and other Manufacturing related hardware.Analyzes, isolates, and remediates MES and other Manufacturing Systems issues, including troubleshooting of equipment located on production floor.Successfully partners with facility maintenance to ensure the completion of equipment repairs, such as scales and printers, etc.Plans, coordinates, manages, and oversees machine and sensor integration for data collection, including OEE (overall equipment effectiveness), Predictive Maintenance, and Measurement Data (i.e. temperature, flow, weight, count, etc.).Collaborates and maintains open communication with Corporate Engineering, Plant Management, MES Operations Management, Continuous Improvement, and IT to identify production equipment/systems capable of MES integration.Updates and maintains OPC (Open Platform Communication) Server configuration to support machine integration.Manages MES upgrades and maintenance, communicates availability status with multiple departments, and coordinates testing and updates.Collaborates with the MES Operations team to train users on proper MES usage according to current standards.Conducts audits of users and processes to ensure MES procedures are followed, identifying persistent problems caused by users or system errors. Interprets and analyzes production and MES usage data to maintain efficiency, and recommend modifications to improve system performance concerning growth, capacity, and speed.Assists in the support and troubleshooting of other plant line-of-business, production, and manufacturing systems not necessarily associated with MES, such as refrigeration controls, oven controls, wastewater controls, sizing line, basting, and injection systems.Stays abreast of trends in the industry, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive continuous improvement.Performs other duties as assigned.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Superior written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills.Exceptional customer service and prompt problem-solving skills including the ability to provide diligent, prompt, and courteous responses to users question or computer/network issues.Thorough understanding of networking, including experience troubleshooting network issues, including wired, wireless, and TCP/IP.Self-starter and confident working independently as part of a geographically dispersed team, providing timely and accurate status reports of assigned location(s).Strong business acumen with the ability to understand the impact of IT on various parts of the organization.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks without direct supervision.Multi-tasking abilities, along with ability to work well under pressure, prioritize and meet tight deadlines.Proven experience with creating and maintaining technical process documentation related to user or system design specifications.Must be able to work independently in fast-paced environment.Possess the ability to adapt and work in different environments, across all functions, and at all levels of the business.Must be able to participate in an on-call rotation alongside the other IT MES Analysts.Proficient with Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, etc.), PowerBI, and SAP or other ERP (enterprise resource planning) systems.Education & Experience:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field is required.In lieu of a college degree will consider a combination of education and 5 years of work experience supporting technology in a Plant/Manufacturing environment.A minimum of 2 years of industry experience serving in roles such as an IT support specialist, site administrator, systems analyst, or similar.Prior experience with MES or other Manufacturing/Operational Technology Systems preferred.Experience with IT ticketing systems for documenting and prioritizing issues/requests.Proven expertise with IT tools, such as SolarWinds, Manage Engine, SOTI, or other MDM (master data management) tools preferred.CompTIA A+ Certification preferred.ITIL training and/or certification a plus.Working Conditions: Office and Plant work environments. Possibility of being exposed to varying conditions in the Plant setting, such as cold areas, warm areas, chemicals, and other site conditions.Work in office environment revolves around use of telephones, personal computers, and printers.GMP (good manufacturing practices) are enforced; appropriate PPE (personal protective equipment) will be provided and required based upon the environment.Physical requirements of the position may include sitting 25% of time reviewing a computer monitor. Remaining time involves standing, prolong walking, climbing, twisting, reaching, stretching, stooping, and lifting of 35 lbs.Requires up to 60% of the time being spent on the Plant production floor.May require flexed scheduling arrangements to accommodate project and/or on-call/emergency situations.Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time to support nearby facilities.The statements herein are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by employees and are not to be construed as an exhaustive list of what is required of personnel so classified.
