Get set for a role that's all about empowerment and making a real impact Job DescriptionExperience Required: minimum 1 year experienceExperience Desired: Office managementEducation Desired: High school diploma or equivalentLifting Requirement: Up to 25 poundsCertification or Licensing Required: Pharmacy Technician Trainee, if applicable by state Age Requirement: At least 18 years of ageJob ResponsibilitiesTrain all new pharmacy technicians hired as well as the continual training of existing staff, including all policies and procedures. Perform all technician duties. Mentor pharmacy technicians in order to achieve and maintain the best team and individual metrics and goals. Oversee team of pharmacy technicians working on the floor with a focus on task support and Team Member development. Play an active role in CQI meeting. Submit system request forms in a timely manner if require. Giant Eagle Pharmacy meets a variety of customer needs, from filling prescriptions and administering immunizations to conducting free health screenings and providing patient education serving over 1.8 million patients and dispensing roughly 25 million prescriptions annually. Giant Eagle Pharmacy operates two Central Pharmacy Service Centers that support over 200 retail pharmacy locations. One located in Freedom, PA and the other in Columbus, OH. These are behind-the-scenes centers where Team Members perform a variety of duties including prescription data entry, interacting with physician offices and patient outreach. Giant Eagle Pharmacy’s Central Fill facility is also located in Freedom, PA. The Central Fill facility is a closed-door pharmacy operation in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
