Position Summary: Responsible in designing and conducting sensory tests, analyzing data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product consistency and excellence. Leverage expertise in sensory evaluation to enhance product development, quality assurance, and customer satisfaction Principal Duties & Responsibilities: · Job is an individual contributor. · Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports. · Design and execute sensory evaluation studies to assess product attributes such as taste, texture, aroma, and appearance · Develop and implement sensory protocols and methodologies in alignment with industry standards · Analyze sensory data using statistical methods and software tools to provide actionable insights to product development and quality assurance teams. · Train sensory panelists ensuring consistency and reliability in sensory evaluations · Maintain comprehensive documentation of sensory testing processes and results as well as sending the data to necessary parties and participants · Participate in product tastings and presentations to communicate findings to stakeholder · Conducts Corporate sensory testing sessions, analyzes results and prepares detailed reports for internal dissemination to respond to the customer through the sales team or top product development executive · Attend customer sensory panels for calibration when needed · Assist in planning upcoming panels by ensuring proper documentation and samples are pulled from the plants. · Perform other duties as assigned.Experience & Skills: · 3-5 years of experience in related field is preferred. · Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products. · Strong knowledge of sensory analysis techniques and statistical methods · Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written · Ability to collaborate in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously · Detail oriented and strong organizational skills · No allergiesPreferred Education: · BA/BS or equivalent is required. · Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Sensory Science, or related fieldWork Environment: · Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise, extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, people and conveyor (may depend on the role). · Work conditions are typical of an R&D Center. · This role requires 10% domestic travel. · Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds · Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing, pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools, controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring. · Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours.
