Job Title: Project Manager II - Reactor & Major MaintenanceWork Location: Onsite, Richland, WADuration: ContractJob Description:As a Project Manager II, you will independently manage projects and programs typically valued under $10M. You will lead project teams of over ten members, handling complex, multidiscipline projects that require strong leadership. Your responsibilities will include planning, scheduling, and controlling project activities, establishing priorities, and maintaining a comprehensive understanding of all project aspects within your scope. You will direct project teams, stay updated on new technologies and industry trends, monitor project management processes, and recommend improvements for effectiveness and efficiency. Additionally, you will manage project budgets, coordinate with finance and project controls groups, and mentor other project managers. You are expected to be proficient in all aspects of project management, including large-scale, complex projects, with excellent mentoring and leadership skills.Must-Have:Active PMP CertificationPrincipal Accountabilities:Manage project activities for refueling outages, forced outages, and on-line work, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.Oversee all aspects of project implementation, including budget management, work package preparation, parts procurement, ALARA planning, safety, clearance order preparation, work prioritization, resource loading, risk management, and work execution.Develop and track project budgets, ensuring proper progress through frequent client, engineer, and management interfaces.Develop and manage contracts, interface with vendors, and create project schedules to manage risk, track progress, enforce accountability, and manage critical path and float.Prepare and deliver written and oral communications to various groups, including senior management.Develop and maintain long-range plan strategies for assigned projects.Support the effective implementation of the Columbia Generating Station Self-Assessment and Corrective Action Program.Provide outage support, including OCC.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university, and fourteen years of experience in a technical field; ORAA/AS degree and sixteen years of experience in a technical field; ORHigh School Diploma or GED and eighteen years of experience in a technical field.An advanced degree in a related field or business may substitute for two years of experience.Project Management certification is required.Desired Education and Experience:Advanced degree in a related field or business.Bachelor's or Associate's degree in engineering, construction management, project management, business, or a related field from an accredited college or university.RO/SRO License or CGS Management Certification.Construction Management Certification.Extensive experience as a direct supervisor or project manager in the commercial nuclear industry, focusing on maintenance, operations, engineering, or construction.Experience in nuclear plant operator production coordination and work management.Abilities and Skills:Proficiency in error reduction, human performance improvement methods, and cost-effective work execution methodologies.Experience managing complex projects, on-line work management, or refueling and forced outage activities.Advanced project management techniques at commercial nuclear power plants or similar facilities.Desired Abilities and Skills:Supervisory experience.Membership in industry committees or experience leading internal audits or assessments.Proficiency in project management and budget process software.Ability to evaluate organizational, personal, technical, and maintenance programs, procedures, schedules, and cost performance.Knowledge of code and regulatory requirements related to operations, construction, maintenance, engineering, and project activities.Proficiency in software programs such as Passport and MS Office.Diverse assignment experience, defined as acquiring and demonstrating new job skills or knowledge that add value for career progression and support business needs. This includes rotations within or outside the organization, with a minimum one-year duration recommended for diverse assignments.
