Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager– Summary
In this role, the EHS Manager will lead efforts to ensure workplace safety, environmental compliance, and a culture of stewardship. The position involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet regulatory standards, improve processes, and minimize risks.
 
Key Responsibilities

  • Environmental Compliance:
    • Develop and enforce environmental policies focusing on waste management, pollution prevention, and resource conservation.
    • Manage permits, prepare reports, and participate in ISO 14001 EMS program administration.
  • Safety Leadership:
    • Design and implement safety protocols to prevent workplace injuries and illnesses.
    • Conduct risk assessments and implement industrial hygiene practices.
  • Program Development & Training:
    • Develop comprehensive EHS programs and deliver training sessions to employees on safety and environmental practices.
    • Coordinate emergency response plans for incidents such as spills and workplace hazards.
  • Compliance Monitoring & Incident Management:
    • Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA).
    • Investigate incidents, implement corrective actions, and collaborate with local agencies.
  • Performance Analysis & Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Track and analyze EHS metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Liaise with regulatory agencies, community organizations, and internal teams.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering/Science, Occupational Safety, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in environmental and safety roles, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and related regulations.
  • Certifications such as OSHA 30-hour, HAZWOPER, or ASP/CSP are highly desirable.
