Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate restorative nursing progress/documentation records on all residents participating in any restorative program.
- Facilitate the transition of patients from skilled rehabilitation services to restorative programs.
- Notify nursing and/or rehabilitation therapy of residents who may be experiencing a change in their level of functioning.
- May be requested to function as CNA if needed.
- Instructs, motivates, and assists residents to learn and improve functional activities, such as eating, transfer, ambulation, and daily living activities.
- Assist during mealtimes in the dining room.
- Follows safety policies in performing nursing care, assuring resident safety.
- Follows and upholds policies and procedures of the community facility.
- Answers call-lights per facility policy.
- Transports residents to and from the Restorative program.
Qualifications:
- A current, unencumbered Colorado Certificate of Nurse Aide (CNA).
- Minimum of one year CNA experience.
- Previous Restorative Aide experience preferred.
- This job requires restorative aides to stand, walk and use their hands and arms frequently.
