The Judge Group is currently seeking a Sr. Buyer for a National Redistribution CompanyCOMPENSATION: $90,000 - $110,000 plus 15% Bonus MUST HAVE: 5-7 Years focused in Buying within the Protein Industry on Fresh ProteinMUST HAVE: Bachelors DegreeRELOCATION ASSISTANCE AVAILABLE -ONSITE ROLELOCATION: Philadelphia, PARole Overview: As the Protein Category Manager, you will be responsible for shaping our protein business strategy and ensuring its successful execution. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize sales, build strong supplier relationships, and drive profitability.Key Responsibilities:Business Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive business plan for the protein category, aligning with overall company goals.Market Analysis: Continuously assess market dynamics, monitor category performance, and adjust strategies as needed.Sales Optimization: Maximize sales opportunities through personalized visits, calls, and relationship-building.Profitable Growth: Identify growth opportunities, implement strategies, and drive profitability within the category.Supplier Relationships: Cultivate effective relationships with suppliers to ensure reliable product sourcing.Pricing Strategies: Develop competitive pricing strategies to secure contracts and enhance company value.Financial Acumen: Understand profit and loss, basic accounting principles, and financial implications.Product Knowledge: Maintain a deep understanding of protein products and selling techniques.Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to achieve sales goals and profitability metrics.Logistics Coordination: Oversee product and supply delivery to distribution centers.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree required.5 - 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on fresh protein.Strong negotiation and contract management skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. \t\t\t \t\t\t
