The position further requires that, after start, the selected candidate obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.Key job responsibilitiesSDE II's own new feature development. We trust them to own system components from design through to implementation, deployment, and operations.You'll build and improve systems that help our customers (coworkers at Amazon) do the right thing for their customers faster and safer. If your career is just starting, hasn’t followed a traditional path, or includes alternative experiences, don’t let it stop you from applying.BASIC QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience- Bachelor's degree, or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 2+ years of experience working with Linux/Unix systems- Current, active US Government Security Clearance of of Top Secret or above.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent- Experience building production-level services with AWS infrastructureAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
