DescriptionShipping Yard DriverEvening Shift Requirements Must have above average safety and attendance record.Will be required to obtain a pallet jack and forklift operator's license.Must have good communication and planning skills.Must have basic math skills.Must have legible handwriting.Must have the ability to follow written and oral instructions.Must be able to work at a regular and safe rate with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a cold environment as well as outside in the elements.Will be required to work overtime depending on work load and truck scheduling.May be assigned temporarily to work other shifts depending on departmental needs.Must be able to lift 70 pounds.Have previous shipping experience.Must be certified to drive yard truck, pallet jack and forklift.    Duties and Responsibilities Follow all plant USDA rules and regulations.Follow all departmental and plant safety requirements.Keep all outside shipping areas sanitary and organized.Yard Truck – Check fluids, check operational safety and tire quality once per shift.Inventory empty and loaded refrigerated trailers at the beginning of each shift.Move empty and loaded refrigerated trailers to and from shipping dock.Monitor and document loaded trailer temperatures. Pallet Yard - Unload pallet trailers and store pallets in their designated areasKeep packaging and ingredients trailers available for plant use.Distribute employee sales.Will be required to perform other duties within the shipping department as needed.             EOE/Vet/Disabled
