Job Title:Quality Assurance DirectorJob Purpose:Join our corporate management team as the Quality Assurance Director, where you will provide strategic leadership, guidance, and risk management for all corporate food safety and quality programs. You will oversee corporate food safety and quality assurance programs, systems, personnel, activities, and operations.Duties and Responsibilities:Lead and manage corporate food safety and quality programs, including HACCP, Preventative Controls, SQF, BRC-related programs, and audit-driven requirements.Ensure compliance and accuracy in developing, revising, and managing all SQF and BRC-related plans, quality programs, supporting programs, audits, and documentation.Serve as a subject matter expert in food safety/microbiology, regulations, and quality systems.Supervise and coach Quality Assurance management and direct-reporting personnel, fostering professional development and training.Maintain up-to-date training and development systems for the team and company.Provide decision-making support to corporate executive leadership, sales, marketing, and R&D teams while maintaining a food safety culture.Oversee and provide technical support for import/export sales, production decisions, environmental programs, sanitation, and compliance.Manage departmental budgets, track expenditure, and ensure compliance with corporate budgeting policies.Ensure production team adherence to regulations and food safety responsibilities.Address and manage food quality concerns on the production floor and within the plant.Regularly communicate with Upper Management to ensure safe product output and maintain documentation for all quality programs.Ensure sanitation procedures align with food safety standards and quality assurance protocols.Engage in collaborative problem-solving efforts across departments.Qualifications:Education:Graduate Degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Biological Sciences, or closely related disciplines preferred. Equivalent education and experience may be acceptable.HACCP Certified and FDA Preventative Controls Training completed.Formal SQF training or other BRC program training.Experience/Skills/Knowledge:5+ years in a food manufacturing technical or senior management role, preferably in the meat and/or poultry processing industry.Experience managing HACCP and SQF programs.Knowledge of USDA-FSIS regulations and requirements for meat and poultry processing.Leadership and management skills.Experience supervising multi-disciplinary teams and programs.Knowledge of statistical process controls.Confident public speaking skills.Join our team and lead our food safety and quality assurance efforts with expertise and dedication Apply today to become our Quality Assurance Director.
