The position is based at Marathon Pipe Line’s Pasco, WA facility and reports to the Area Manager. A Mechanical Technician works in and around petroleum products, truck loading, and barge facilities executing Maintenance and Reliability activities and provides field support to various other MPL processes and departments. The successful candidate will perform maintenance, reliability, and operational duties including, but not limited to repairing and maintaining valves, pumps, vapor recovery unit/combustor, tank equipment, strainers, meters, truck rack loading equipment, barge equipment, and butane blending equipment.  The successful candidate should have the ability to troubleshoot problems, work independently and in a team environment, and prioritize job duties. Job duties must be performed in accordance with all regulations in support of DOT, US Coast Guard, Environmental, Safety, and Regulatory compliance.
