Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurses (RN) play a pivotal role within Baylor Scott & White Round Rock Medical Center. The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Nurses (RN) at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Round Rock care for both Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and Intermediate Care (IMC) patients on this 26-bed mixed acuity unit. Typical ratios consist of 1:1 for high acuity patients, 1:2 for general Intensive Care Unit (ICU) patients and 1:3 for Intermediate Care (IMC) patients. Our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) level patients consist of Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) and Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU) patients.
The Intensive Care Unit (ICU) is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who has previous Rapid Response Team (RRT) experience. The ideal candidate has previously been a designated Rapid Response Team (RRT) Registered Nurse (RN) who can represent the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) responding to emergencies and codes throughout the medical center. The candidate will need to be proactive in communication with peers, various hospital departments and physicians who is a confident critical thinker who can be patient advocates. The ideal candidate would preferably have one year of experience on a designated Rapid Response Team (RRT) and two years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) experience.
Baylor Scott & White Round Rock hospital is equipped with 101 beds, a Level II Trauma Center, and Level IV Maternal Designation. This full-service hospital provides a wide network of medical expertise and resources and was as an enhanced ability to care for patients. Registered Nurse (RN) Requirements
· Graduate of an Accredited Nursing Program
· Two years of Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
· One year of designated Rapid Response Team (RRT) experience preferred.
· License/Certification
· RN – Registered Nurse
· BLS – Basic Life Support (required within 30 days of hire)
