With a goal of becoming the most trusted name in premium proteins, we create products for consumers and for retail and foodservice customers around the globe, while changing the way animals are raised for food.SummaryThe Garage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing fleet technicians in diagnosing equipment failures and performing maintenance services. This role ensures that all repairs are completed in accordance with OEM specifications, DOT safety regulations, and company standards. The supervisor provides leadership, maintains a safe and efficient work environment, and ensures fleet reliability to support operational success.Principal and Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesOversee fleet technicians in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles and equipment.Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to ensure a skilled and efficient team.Enforce safety protocols and maintain a culture of accountability and excellence.Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks comply with OEM specifications and DOT safety regulations.Monitor work quality to maintain high standards of service and vehicle reliability.Schedule and prioritize repairs to minimize downtime and maximize fleet availability.Ensure all maintenance activities align with DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.Conduct regular inspections to identify and address safety risks.Maintain accurate service records and documentation for compliance audits.Assign tasks and manage workloads to optimize productivity.Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with vendors for parts and supplies.Implement process improvements to enhance service efficiency and reduce costs.Work closely with drivers, operations teams, and management to address maintenance needs.Provide reports on fleet performance, maintenance trends, and cost analysis.Foster teamwork and effective communication within the garage.Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical support to technicians.Address unexpected breakdowns promptly to ensure minimal disruption to operations.Make data-driven decisions to improve fleet maintenance strategies.*These duties may be altered to suit the needs of the company as required.Education and Experience REQUIRED: Strong interpersonal, communication, organizational, and analytical skillsStrong understanding of mechanical processesKnowledge of standard computer software applicationsMechanical experience High School Graduate or GEDPossess a Valid Drivers License PREFERRED: ACE certifications a plusPossess a CDL1-3 years prior supervisory experienceExperience PreferredACE (American Council of Exercise) Certification a plus.Possess a CDL preferred.Environmental Factors and Physical RequirementsAble to move freely throughout the garage facility to include climbing vertical heights (0 - 50'); carrying tools and equipment (0-100 pounds); exposure to extreme temperatures (0-100 Degrees Fahrenheit); humidity, (0 - 100%), noise (50db to 100db) and chemicals (MSDS sheets available).Must be able to wear protective equipment.
