Building Location:St Marys Hospital SuperiorDepartment:13820 Speech TherapyJob Description:Evaluates, plans, treats and implements care for patients in the areas of speech, language, cognition and swallowing accordance with professional standards of the American Speech Language and Hearing Association (ASHA) using any established Clinical Practice Guidelines.Education Qualifications:Key Responsibilities:This is a 0.6 FTE (24 hours a week) outpatient SLP position in Superior, WIHave a caseload of primarily adult patients with occasional pediatric patientsProvides therapy evaluation, treatment planning, treatment, patient/caregiver education, and discharge planning for a full caseload of patientsProvides all ancillary/administrative requirements for a full caseload of patients, including documentation, billing, scheduling management, and other administrative dutiesDemonstrates appropriate communication, professionalism and supervision of support staff (licensed assistants, aides, volunteers) and complies with all organization policiesComplies with organization code of conduct and meets professional organization core values, code of ethics, &/or scope of practiceWork where the patient need is highest (including flexing to other departments) when home department schedule allowsProvide staff education, participate/lead committee groups, participate in staff onboarding/orientationThis position is open to students in their final year of training, they can receive a monthly stipend for a maximum of 12 months before the official start dateEducational Requirements:Master's degree from accredited speech and language pathology programLicensure/Certification Qualifications:Certification/Licensure Requirements:Current registration/license to practice speech-language pathology in the state of practiceFor More Information, contact:Delaney Kennedy, RecruiterEmail: delaney.kennedy@EssentiaHealth.orgPhone: 612-655-7886FTE:0.6Possible Remote/Hybrid Option:Shift Rotation:Day Rotation (United States of America)Shift Start Time:Shift End Time:Weekends:Holidays:NoCall Obligation:NoUnion:Union Posting Deadline:
